These Terms & Conditions govern all reservations made at Zaharé Edit. By confirming a reservation, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and accepted the following terms.Reservations
All reservations are subject to availability. A reservation is only confirmed once written confirmation has been issued by Zaharé Edit and any required deposit or payment has been received. The primary guest making the reservation must be at least 18 years of age and is responsible for all members of the travelling party.Rates
All rates are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Rates include:- Exclusive use of the entire private residence
- Daily breakfast
- Dedicated Stay Curator
- Daily housekeeping
- Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi
- One complimentary airport transfer per stay
- One complimentary Stone Town Walking Tour
- Zanzibar Infrastructure Tax
- Additional meals and beverages
- Private Chef services
- Grocery pre-stocking
- Rooftop BBQ experiences
- Third-party excursions and activities
- Personal expenses
Zanzibar Infrastructure Tax
In accordance with Government regulations, a Zanzibar Infrastructure Tax of USD 5 per person, per night applies and is payable by guests unless otherwise included in a contracted rate.Payments
Payment terms may vary depending on the booking channel or contracted agreement. Unless otherwise advised:- A deposit may be required to secure a reservation.
- Full payment must be received prior to arrival.
- Any outstanding balance, additional services or incidental charges must be settled before departure.
Cancellation Policy
Unless otherwise specified in a contracted agreement, the following cancellation charges apply:- More than 30 days prior to arrival – No cancellation fee
- 29–15 days prior to arrival – 25% of the reservation value
- 14–7 days prior to arrival – 50% of the reservation value
- 6–3 days prior to arrival – 75% of the reservation value
- Within 3 days of arrival, no-show or early departure – 100% of the reservation value
Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in: From 2:00 PM Check-out: By 11:00 AM Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Guests are requested to advise their expected arrival time in advance.Occupancy
The residence accommodates a maximum of:- 6 Adults
- Up to 2 children under 5 years sharing with parents
Child Policy
Children aged 0–5 years stay complimentary when sharing existing bedding with parents. Children aged 6 years and above may incur additional charges depending on the booking arrangement. Parents and guardians remain fully responsible for the supervision and safety of children throughout the stay.Housekeeping
Daily housekeeping is included between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. To support sustainable practices:- Bed linen and towels are changed every second day.
- Daily linen or towel changes are available upon request.
Residence Guidelines
To ensure a comfortable experience for all guests, we kindly request that visitors:- Respect neighbouring residences and local community members.
- Keep noise to a minimum, particularly during evening hours.
- Do not host parties, events or gatherings without prior written approval.
- Take reasonable care of the residence, furnishings and equipment.
- Report any damage immediately to the Stay Curator.
Smoking
Zaharé Edit is a non-smoking residence. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas where provided. Any additional cleaning or damage resulting from smoking inside the residence may incur additional charges.Pets
Pets are not permitted at Zaharé Edit.Security & Valuables
Guests are responsible for securing their personal belongings throughout their stay. While every effort is made to provide a safe environment, Zaharé Edit accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property. Guests should ensure doors and windows are secured whenever leaving the residence.Liability
Guests use the residence and its facilities entirely at their own risk. Zaharé Edit shall not be liable for:- Injury, illness or accidents occurring during the stay except where required by law.
- Loss, theft or damage to personal belongings.
- Delays, interruptions or cancellations caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Force Majeure
Zaharé Edit shall not be held responsible for failure to fulfil any obligation where performance is prevented by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:- Natural disasters
- Extreme weather
- Government restrictions
- Civil unrest
- Utility failures
- Pandemics or public health emergencies
- Transportation disruptions
Third-Party Services
Airport transfers, tours, excursions and other experiences arranged on behalf of guests may be operated by independent providers. Zaharé Edit acts only as a booking facilitator and accepts no responsibility for services provided by third parties.Privacy
Personal information collected during the reservation process is used solely for reservation management, guest services and legal requirements. Guest information will not be shared with third parties except where required by law or necessary to provide requested services.Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Tanzanian courts.Contact
